Venkateswara, also known as Venkatesa is represented as Balaji. Venkateswara is represented with four arms. One hand holds a lotus (its petals symbolizing the unfolding of creation). The second hand holds a conch, symbolizing the Primordial sound from which all existence comes. The third hand has a chakra that is the discus that always returns to the owner after destroying an evil being. The fourth hand carries the ghada, or mace. Both the chakra and the ghada symbolize the power to destroy all evil. The Lord is considered to be the richest God in the world. The God is associated with the place being famous as Tirumala Tirupathi.
